Hello, fellow food enthusiasts! We hope this blog entry finds you in the best spirits. Today, we’re excited to share our delightful culinary adventure at Khazana, an Indian restaurant that has captured the hearts of many in Edmonton.

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of dining at Khazana’s downtown location. With three branches across the city and a plethora of consumer choice awards to its name, Khazana had some pretty big shoes to fill, and boy did it exceed our expectations!

As we stepped inside, we were immediately transported to the heart of India. The rustic tones, traditional décor, and carefully placed artifacts exude an inviting charm. Our evening began on a cozy note as we were seated beside a gorgeous authentic gas fireplace. The incredible copper hood above it added a touch of elegance to the ambiance.

The menu at Khazana offered a tantalizing array of dishes, and our dinner was an absolute feast for the senses. The plates were generously filled with a delightful variety of flavors. Rice, Dal, Butter chicken, tandoori salmon, and an exquisite goat kebab graced our table. The spice levels were on the higher side, which, for us, was perfect. We relished the bold and complex flavors, and the heat of the spices made each bite a true adventure.

The butter chicken was rich and creamy, with just the right balance of spices. The tandoori Salmon had that smoky, slightly charred flavor that we adore. And that goat kebab, oh my! It was tender and succulent, with a tantalizing blend of spices that danced on our taste buds.

As we savored the food, we couldn’t help but feel that we might have been a bit too ambitious in our choices. The portions were so generous that we realized we could easily have shared one of those Diwan E Khaas plates. If we had, we might have had room for the tempting array of incredible desserts that Khazana had to offer.

While we didn’t have the chance to sample the desserts this time, we left Khazana with full hearts and satisfied palates. The warm and friendly atmosphere, combined with the exceptional flavors, made our visit to this award-winning restaurant truly special.

In conclusion, Khazana is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of India in the heart of Edmonton. Whether you’re a spice enthusiast like us or prefer milder flavors, the menu has something for everyone. We’re already planning our next visit, this time with a focus on indulging in those incredible desserts.

Until then, stay adventurous and keep exploring the culinary gems in your city.

Bon Appetit!

Warm regards, Joe & Tess, Seniors on the Loose Food and Travel bloggers.
